
Kowloon Walled City
By 1987 an estimated 50,000 people crowded into 500 buildings, spread across 2.7 hectares. Buildings demolished in March 1993, site turned into a commemorative park, opening in 1995.
Kowloon Walled City Park preserves traces of the Walled City such as the Imperial Government administrative building.
Getting there:
MTR Central Red line,
Mong Kok change to Green line (4 stops),
Lok Fu Exit B and then walk through Lok Fu Plaza and south on Junction Road until turning left at Tung Tau Tsuen Rd, the corner of the park.
